Theory of Devolution

I do watch The Big Bang Theory. I don't like it, but I watch it. I cannot tell you why though. I mean, it's probably because I used to like it. It seemed clever, and the characters had many of the same interests as myself. They were nerds, but the more the series has gone on, and the more popularity it has received, I think its quality has seriously dropped. The jokes just do't seem to be as clever anymore, and it seems that instead of laughing with the nerds, we are now laughing at them.

The characters only piss me off at this stage. Except for Howard, there has been fuck all development, and Sheldon is especially wearing thin. His relationship with his girlfriend Amy just makes me feel a sense of rage. They are terrible together. It's meant to be funny, but I hate it. There just doesn't seem to be any heart in the show. Penny and Leonard are also beginning to get stale, a Raj still needs to drink to talk to women. What a load of horse shit.

Why haven't they developed these characters? All they have done is add new ones that have, admittedly, changed the dynamic of the show, but it's too bad that they changed it for the worse. Every character is a fucking selfish dickhead. Some of the jokes can be funny, but usually they are cheesy and terrible. I do think that might be getting tricked by the laugh track into thinking that its funny. Just check out the following video.



I would love to give this show my lowest rating, but considering I still watch it, that wouldn't be fair.
