Pokémon Animé Series

Oh yes, we all remember this jolly little phenomenon. Pokémon was everywhere when I was a child, and I fucking loved it. I loved the games, I loved the toys, and I loved the TV show. The adventures of Ash, Pikachu, Misty and Brock were the highlight of my after school television watching. I was always especially excited when they had one of those rare new episodes on, but most of the time I enjoyed a re-run. It was a littleannoying, but it was still Pokémon.

However, now I am a little older, and a lot wiser (I am,ok?). I have come to an awful conclusion that has ruined my childhood. That TV show was fucking terrible. For one, the same old shit happened nearly every episode. Team Rocket would do something bad, then Ash et al would defeat them. Ash was a fucking shit character. He never even tried to catch 'em all, and that was the whole point of Pokémon. He also gave pokémon away (I'm thinking about Charizard especially) and this is utterly unacceptable. Also, the show ignored the rules from the game, and Ash had no fucking clue about type advantages. Also, he lost too much. He should have been the best. Why would we want to follow the story of some loser?

In the games, the lead character would always be a badass, and it was the same in the manga comics. I don't understand why they couldn't follow those for the storylines in the animé. One thing that was cool about the manga was that it seemed to be set in the game universe, and the characters aged an progressed. This didn't happen in the shitty TV series. I mean, it's still on and Ash is still fucking ten years old. The first season should have ended with ash as Pokémon League Champion, and the second season should have introduced a new character in a new region, just like the games and manga. Fuck, that would have been fantastic.

Despite my nostalgia, I must say that the Pokéomon Animé Series was Fucking Shit.
