Iron Man Three

Holy Shitballs!

Look, you should go see this film right now. It is excellent. It is fantastic. It is funny. It is dramatic. It is suspenseful. It is the best Iron Man film to date. I think that director Shane Black has done an amazing job with reigniting this franchise that was just a tad stale after the lacklustre second installment (Iron Man 2 wasn't bad, it just wasn't great). Iron Man 3 is the most adventurous Marvel movie yet.

Downey Jr. is fantastic again as Tony Stark, and Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow do an excellent job too. This movie is basically relentless from start to finish, but not in terms of action. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of thrilling scenes, but Tony Stark spends a lot of time out of his suit. This does not hurt the movie at all. In fact, I think it adds to the excitement. Also, there is a kid in this movie. I usually hate kids in movies as they can be annoying and played by a shit little actor, but this one is really good, and he adds to the story.


I always worry about the villains in superhero movies so I was delighted that this one did not disappoint. Ben Kingsley is absolutely fantastic in the role of The Mandarin. He is mysterious and menacing from the very beginning, and is a great villain for Tony Stark to get to grips wilt post- New York (The Avengers obviously). The events of last year had a major effect on Tony, and I'm really glad that they address that throughout the film

There are plenty of twists and turns in this movie so I would make sure to avoid spoilers at all costs. Seriously, you don't want this movie spoiled for you. That would be shitty.

Iron Man 3 is fucking brilliant. It is THE SHIT!
